Qamea Island Resort & Spa
The jewel of Fiji's northern islands, Qamea is a breathtakingly beautiful island of dramatic lush, green, tropical jungle clad hills and white sand beaches.
Qamea Resort and Spa is an exclusive tropical destination for discerning travelers seeking a truly unique and authentic Fijian experience without sacrificing luxury or service. From the moment guests step onto the island, they will feel as if they have entered a Fijian village set in a South Pacific tropical paradise.
Qamea’s eleven authentic Beachfront Bures all have thatched roofs and were designed and built in traditional Fijian style, with soaring 20 foot ceilings and hand polished local mahogany hardwood floors. In addition to the eleven Beachfront Bures, there is also a split level 1,200 square foot Honeymoon Villa. This is a stunning split-level villa built, as are the other bures at Qamea, in the traditional Fijian style, with high woven bamboo ceilings and polished mahogany hardwood floors. It also boasts a private outdoor courtyard with shower and jacuzzi spa bath.
Qamea Resort & Spa’s two new Honeymoon Bures are designed specifically for discerning guests seeking even more luxury and romance. With over 800 square feet, the Honeymoon Bures command expansive and unobstructed views of Qamea’s lagoon and long white sand beach.
The two Royal Beach Houses are situated at the far end of the white sand beach, affording maximum privacy and seclusion from the rest of the resort, along with the highest level of luxury for the discerning couple. With private beachside pools, a heated Jacuzzi spa, and over 1,700 square feet of secluded luxury, this is the best that Qamea has to offer.
Formerly the resort owners private residence, the Two Bedroom Royal Beach House has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and is perfect for a couple with adult children, or for two couples traveling together.
The cuisine at Qamea can best be described as South Pacific Rim, which is similar to California Cuisine. Fruit and vegetables are organic, and if not from the resort gardens, are flown in three times a week from New Zealand. All the seafood is local, caught daily by Qamea fishermen. The beef and poultry is also flown in from Australia and New Zealand.
Breakfast offers a full menu from which to order, with favorites such as papaya French toast or mango pancakes (seasonal). For lunch and dinner, the menus change daily, and there is always a choice of two entrees (starters) and three mains with at least one vegetarian option. Every afternoon at around 4PM, afternoon tea and homemade cakes or pastries are served, and snacks are always available between meals.
Qamea is romance defined. Reserve a romantic afternoon on honeymoon beach - a totally private beach just minutes from the resort. Guests are whisked away by boat and dropped off on the beach with a picnic lunch and some snorkel gear. The Fijian chef will pack a picnic lunch and a bottle of champagne or wine, and a boat ferries guests to this most romantic of beaches.
Qamea and her neighboring islands offer a tropical paradise of adventure and beauty. Guests can avail themselves of a wide range of complimentary activities, including incredible snorkeling, hobie cat sailing, windsurfing, sea canoeing, hiking, croquet, visiting one of the local villages and lots more. Our diving is also world renowned, and with a fully equipped PADI accredited 5 Star dive facility our diving staff can introduce you to an underwater adventure you will long remember.
