You will have the opportunity to snorkel over magical fringing reefs, located in the shallows just meters from the beach at Lizard and Pelorus Islands, and discover the rarely visited Ribbon Reefs where access is made easy from the snorkel platform at the stern of the ship. Less experienced swimmers will enjoy the opportunity to join guided snorkeling tours, the expert staff accompanying you in the shallow waters over the reef every step of the way.
Travel ashore and discover pristine tropical islands, including Lizard, Dunk, and Fitzroy islands, along with Coral Expeditions' private tropical island, Pelorus, where there is time to enjoy a gourmet Aussie Beach BBQ. Join expert naturalists on guided nature walks, swim and snorkel or simply relax on a long stretch of golden sandy beach. Experience walks through prehistoric rain forests and enjoy time to discover either historic Cooktown or the wildlife haven of the Hinchinbrook Channel.
Three-night cruises depart every Friday from Cairns and visit Thetford and Sudbury Reefs and cruise the spectacular Hinchinbrook Channel, with ample time to discover a myriad of beautiful tropical islands including exclusive Pelorus Island, Fitzroy Island and rain forest covered Dunk Island. Four-night cruises depart every Monday and include two full days of snorkeling, diving and glass bottom boat tours on the remote Ribbon Reefs, a day of exploration on beautiful Lizard Island and time to discover Australia’s history in the scenic village of Cooktown.
